TANGIER – CHEFCHAWEN – VOLUBILIS – FEZ – MERZOUGA – DADES – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKESH
DAY 1: TANGIER
Arrival and private transfer to the hotel. The first attraction will be visiting the city
DAY 2: TANGIER – CHEFCHAOUEN – FEZ
After breakfast we will go to the Rif mountains and the city of Tetuanenjoying the beautiful views of the mountains until we reach Chefchaouen, one of the amazing towns at the foot of the Rif mountains. In the medina of Chefchaouen, also known as the pearl of the north, we find the spanish style central plaza surrounded by artisanal workshops and interesting shops. Our trip continues to Volubilis passing Wazan and other towns of the Rif. Volubilis is an important archeological site from roman times and shows a part of the history of Morocco. Transfer to Fez. Hotel and breakfast.
DAY 3: FEZ – TOUR OF THE CITY
After breakfast, we start to visit Morocco´s oldest city, walking through its streets and alleys. We start our visit with the Royal Palace, the Bab Bou Jeloud gate, the Jewish quartier, the first Mellah built in Moroccoin the XVI century. We assure you visit all the cultural and historical interest sites including the University of Al Qaraouine (oldest in Africa),the tanners, Attarine museumand the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After having lunch, we visit the tile cooperative and then enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the whole medina of Fez. Stay and breakfast at the Riad.
DAY 4: FES – IFRANE – MIDELT – VALLE DEL ZIZ – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI
After breakfast , we depart for Merzouga. The road takes us to Ifrane and the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt gorge and the gorges of Ziz, From there you can see the Atlas plateauand the changes in scenery until we approach Errachidia. Afterwards, travel along the exuberant Ziz Valley where we´ll make some stops on the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Once we arrive in Merzouga we change the 4×4 for a dromedary that will take us to a camp of tents in the middle of the desert of ErgChebbi to pass the night surrounded by dunes and the music of the Berber derbakes.
DAY 6 : DADES VALLEY – ROSES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKESH
After breakfast at the hotel, we continue through the Dades Valley to Kelaa Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The itinerary through the Dades Valley is done on the road of a thousand kasbahs offering several opportunities to take some of the best pictures of the trip along with the Valley of Roses. We continue to Ouarzazate, famous for its movie studios. Visit to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, la largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T- Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chiefs from the beginning of the 20th century. It is now declared a UNESCO world heritage site. The scenery will change drastically once we cross the Atlas plateau where we´ll find panoramic views and Berber villages along the way to Marrakesh. DAY 7: MARRAKESH: City tour
After breakfast we visit the “red city” of Marrakesh. We assure that you visit the most important cultural and historical sites, including the Majorelle gardens, Koutoubia tower , theSaadian Toombs and the Bay Palace. Then lunch at a restaurant close to the famous Jemma El-Fna plaza. Afterwards we´ll walk the alleyways where we can find different handicrafts. During the afternoon, you´ll have free time to visit other parts of the city.
Day 8: MARRAKEsH – AiRPoRT
Breakfast at the hotel. City visit and transfer to the airport.
